These Jar of Love gift tags are awesome!

You guys have to check these out!  I saw a similar item on Etsy for these tags and decided to make some “Stampin Up” style for a craft fair I am participating in. Aren’t these awesome??

Aren’t these tags great?  I love them and they are so easy peasy!!  I used Stampin Up’s Kraft 12 x 12 cardstock and stamped the medium sized mason jar from Jar of Love stamp set with Basic Black Archival ink and then ran them through the Big Shot with the matching framelit. I stamped the snowflake image from the Snow Place stamp set in the middle of the jar and used the To and From from the Cheerful Tags stamp set. I punched a small hole in the lid and tied on some jute. You could use Stampin Up’s wonderful linen thread too.

Here is the Thanksgiving card I designed for the hop.

Don’t you just love the combination of colors? The rich deepness of the Rich Razzleberry cardstock really makes the card standout. The Rich Razzleberry base is 4 1/4″ by 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. The next layer of Mint Macaron is cut at 4 1/8″ by 4 1/8″. You will also need two pieces of Very

Vanilla cut at 4″ by 4″, one is for the inside of the card. You will also need a small piece of the Petals and Paisleys Designer DSP #142017.

2016 October Thanksgiving Blog Hop

I used two stamp sets to create this card, Paisley and Posies #142196 and Jar of Love #141587. You will also need the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies #141851 to create the pine branch and berry branch on the jar. I added a ribbon made from 1/4″ Natural Trim on top of the thinlits and then added a little bling in the center of the flowers with some Rhinestones.

Fun with Cheerful Tags Bundle!

Happy Sunday all!

I just wanted to show you what I played around with this week. The Here’s To Cheers stamp set (#142101) and the Cheerful Tag Framelits Dies (#141838)are so much fun! You can purchase both if these in a bundle for 10% off.

I tried my hand at a couple Fall looking tags that I am going to try and sell at a craft fair in November. I will also make some Christmas Holiday ones. I am hoping they will be a big seller.

I made the base of the tag from Early Espresso cardstock and the lovely filigree element is done from gold foil.  I stamped the sentiment with Versa Mark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder for an elegant look. The ribbon is Stampin Up’s awesome 1/4″ Natural Trim.

I wrapped a piece of the gorgeous Petals and Paisleys Specialty DSP around the bottle. Just wide enough to cover the label. I think this looks really great. I can’t wait to play with some Holiday colors and I have black and gold for colors in the back of my mind..hmmm.

Love this Paisleys and Posies card!

Hi stampers!  I finally got a chance to sit down and play with some of the new items from the 2016 Holiday Catalog! I can’t get into Christmas yet, lol, so I created this really elegant fall or Thanksgiving card. What do you think?

I really love the combination of Night of Navy, Very Vanilla and copper…it’s a great combination and sooo elegant! Sorry this picture is so bad…you have to make one yourself so see how pretty it looks with the copper.

I started with an A2 base of very vanilla card-stock. The beautiful piece of Petals and Paisleys DSP (# 142017) is cut at 5 1/2″ by 2 1/8″. I also cut two strips of the copper foil sheet (#142020) at 5 1/2″ by 1/2″ to tuck behind each edge of the DSP. This really brings out the shine! All you will need for the leaves is a fairly small piece of the copper foil sheet

IMAG1152aUsing the fancy leave from the Paisley Framelit dies (# 141849) I ran the copper foil sheet through my Big Shot and cut out 4 of them. The die brush really helps out on this one to get out all the small pieces.

I then assembled the card lining up the leaves on the left hand side of my base card and glued them with Tombow multi purpose glue. You could use the fine tip glue also. I laid the DSP and copper sheet tucked underneath the DSP with adhesive slightly on top of the leaves.

IMAG1153aNext I took the two of the Layering Circle Framelits (#141705)plain circle which measures 2 3/8″ and cut out a pice of very vailla card-stock and used a piece of copper foil sheet to cut out the scallop circle from this set which measures 2 1/2″. Using Versamark ink (#102283) I stamped the sentiment in the middle of the plain circle and heat embossed with the beautiful copper embossing powder. (#414636) I then stamped one of the smaller images on the top and bottom of the sentiment in Night of Navy ink.(#126970)

The I just adhered the very vanilla piece to the copper foil sheet with Stampin Dimensionals (#104430). I also used Dimensionals to adhere to the final card.

I completed the card by stamping the inside with a sentiment from the Paisleys and Poisies set and offset with a paisley image.

This card can be used for a number of occasions I think…use your imagination!!!

I can’t wait to play some more with this gorgeous set! Happy Stamping!!!

Stamp It Christmas in July Hop!

Welcome to the Christmas in July Stamp It Group Blog Hop!!

The Stampin Up Holiday catalog doesn’t come out until September but our very creative demonstrators have designed some awesome Christmas cards and projects just to get you in the mood!  Ho Ho Ho!! Here is my card!

I have seen a lot of beautiful cards made with the Swirly Scribble Thinlits (#141477) and the Swirly Bird stamp set (#141749), including cards with wreaths so I though I would try making a Christmas wreath with this bundle.  I started with a base made from Crumb Cake cardstock, 11″ x 4 1/4″ scored at 5 1/2″ and folded.

I inked the raised side of the inside of the Brick Wall embossing folder (#138288)with Sahara Sand ink and a dobber and ran it through the Big Shot. The brick wall look this created is stunning! I  used Very Vanilla cardstock cut at 5 1/2″ by 3 1/4″.

I laid down a piece of washi tape (the washi tape is part of Stampin Up’s Designer Tin of Cards kit) on the left-hand side of the card and trimmed off the edges with paper snips. I cut out all of the pieces I needed from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits to create the wreath, little swirly balls and the cute little red bird using very vanilla cardstock. The littlest swirly images are heat embossed with gold powder, and the bird is stamped with Real Red ink and fussy cut out. I then stamped the leave image from one of the stamps in the Jar of Love stamp set (#141587) and cut it out with the matching framelit from the Everyday Jars Framelits (#141490).

I added the sentiment down towards the bottom of the card (kind of sideways) in Early Expresso ink using “Merry Christmas” from the Snow Place stamp set (#139738). This cute little set came out last year and carried over to the annual catalog…sooo cute!!!

Check out my YouTube video below and you’ll meet my special guest who helps me create this card!

Going Global

Going Global

Today I created this easel card using the 2016 Occasion catalog stamp set called Going Global (140745/140748). I started with a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock cut at 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″. I then scored one side at 2 1/8″ to create the easel.
I cut a piece of the awesome Going Places DSP stack (140581) at 4″ by 5 1/4″and scored it at 2″ on the long edge. It then adhered it to the front o the Mossy Meadow base. I used the sixth from the middle framelits from the Circles collections framelits (130911) and centered on the 2″ score line before cutting with the Big Shot. (113439) Then I folded on the score line to create the easel. Piece of cake!

For the inside of the card, I cut a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock at 4″ by 5 1/4″. I directly inked the inside of the World Traveler Textured Impressions embossing folder with the Mossy Meadow ink pad and ran it through the Big Shot. The effect came out exactly as I had hoped. I think it looks pretty cool, don’t you?

I adhered the embossed piece to the inside of the card. I stamped two globe images on Very Vanilla cardstock. I first inked the stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and took a baby wipe to clear off some of the ink from the “land” sections on the image. Then I took the Mossy Meadow ink and dabbed it on the “land” sections on the image. That came out pretty cool too. I took a piece of Linen Thread and adhered the “globe” image on both sides with Tombow multi-purpose glue. I used mini glue dots and adhered each end of the linen thread on the score line on the inside cover. I then stamped the “worlds best Dad” sentiment with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and just hand trimmed into a rectangle. The “you mean the world to me sentiment” was popped up with Stampin Dimentionals so the folded top of the card can rest on it. I stamped in Memento ink and punched out using the short end of the Decorative Label punch (# 120907). I turned the piece around and punched the other edge close to the sentiment.

And voila! It’s almost done. You can’t see it in the pictures here, but I adhered a piece of very vanilla cardstock cut at 4′ by 5 1/4″ to the back of this  card. This will allow me to sign my name on the card and put a little message to my Dad…he will totally love this card!
