I love bunnies! (We actually have one in the back yard in a bunny hut…) So I decided to use the bunny from “Made with Love” stamp set because the bunny is so cute! I love how one little ear sticks up, heehee.

February 16 Easter Blog Hop

Before I used the photopolymer stamp I took paper snips and cut off the greeting next to the bunny image. I can still use the greeting..it doesn’t have to be attached.

I stamped the bunny once on Mint Macaron and Calypso Coral cardstock and twice on Blushing Bride cardstock and fussy cut them out. No need to cut around the tail, you’ll see why…

 

 

The base of the card is a basic A2 size card in Mint Macaron. I cut 1 1/4 inch off the front right side of my card with the Stampin Trimmer. I then added the panel on the front. The Calypso Coral cardstock is cut at 2 3/4″ by 5 1/4″. The DSP  (Birthday Bouquet) is cut at 1/8th of an inch shorter than the Calypso Coral cardstock on all sides. I wrapped some white bakers twine around from top to bottom a couple times and tied with a bow and adhered to the card. Using the third and fourth from the middle ovals collection framelits, I cut Whispher White and Calypso Corals cardstock. I stamped the cute little bunny three times across the Whispher White oval and then using Tombow multi-purpose liquid glue, I adhered the fussy cut bunnies on top of the stamped ones. See how his tail still shows? It looks like his tail is behind him…lol!

I used Stampin Dimensionals to pop up the white oval with the bunnies on to the Calypso Coral piece and adhered to the card in the center with multi-purpose liquid glue. Using some scrap pieces of Blushing Bride cardstock I stamped “Happy Easter” in Memento Black ink using the stamp set Crazy About You. This is a set of 33 stamps, so versatile.

 

 

For some added bling, I brushed the bunnies with the Wink of Stella clear glitter brush. This makes the bunnies really stand out and shine!

I also stamped the inside of the card on Whispher White with a sentiment from Crazy About you and placed another fussy cut bunny next to the sentiment.

 

 

 

I really love the new Polka Dot Cellophane bags that came out in the 2016 Occasions catalog. They are gong to be perfect for filling at Easter time. I can see them filled with colorful jelly beans and M&M type candies…so adorable. Tie them at the top with a little ribbon and you’re good to go.  For this project I put some chocolate wrapped candies  in the cello bag and tied at the top with Mint Macaron Dotted Lace Trim. Perfect touch!
