Welcome to the Christmas in July Stamp It Group Blog Hop!!

The Stampin Up Holiday catalog doesn’t come out until September but our very creative demonstrators have designed some awesome Christmas cards and projects just to get you in the mood!  Ho Ho Ho!! Here is my card!

IMAG1040a

I have seen a lot of beautiful cards made with the Swirly Scribble Thinlits (#141477) and the Swirly Bird stamp set (#141749), including cards with wreaths so I though I would try making a Christmas wreath with this bundle.  I started with a base made from Crumb Cake cardstock, 11″ x 4 1/4″ scored at 5 1/2″ and folded.

I inked the raised side of the inside of the Brick Wall embossing folder (#138288)with Sahara Sand ink and a dobber and ran it through the Big Shot. The brick wall look this created is stunning! I  used Very Vanilla cardstock cut at 5 1/2″ by 3 1/4″.

I laid down a piece of washi tape (the washi tape is part of Stampin Up’s Designer Tin of Cards kit) on the left-hand side of the card and trimmed off the edges with paper snips. I cut out all of the pieces I needed from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits to create the wreath, little swirly balls and the cute little red bird using very vanilla cardstock. The littlest swirly images are heat embossed with gold powder, and the bird is stamped with Real Red ink and fussy cut out. I then stamped the leave image from one of the stamps in the Jar of Love stamp set (#141587) and cut it out with the matching framelit from the Everyday Jars Framelits (#141490).

I added the sentiment down towards the bottom of the card (kind of sideways) in Early Expresso ink using “Merry Christmas” from the Snow Place stamp set (#139738). This cute little set came out last year and carried over to the annual catalog…sooo cute!!!

New Catalog Hop June 2016!

Standard

Hi Stampers!!! Welcome to the June 2016 Stamp It Group Blog Hop!!

This month’s theme is new catalog stamp sets and I picked one of my favorites, Jar of Love. I also used the versatile set Better Together. Keep reading to the end and don’t forget to leave your #stampitcontest comment on this blog and all the blogs to win the fabulous prize!

You have probably just come from Siara’s blog, isn’t her project the best? We have some very talented stampers in this group and I am so proud to be one of them!

I created this very easy to make card by starting with a Sweet Sugarplum cardstock A2 size base, 4 1/4″ by 11″ ,scored at 5 1/2″.

I cut two pieces of whispher white thick cardstock (you can use the regular weight also) at 4″ by 5 1/4″.

I used the Project Life corner rounder and corner rounded the bottom edges of all three pieces. I then stamped the largest jar image from the Jar of Love stamp set (#141587) with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the bottom right corner of the whispher white piece and also stamped the bow image on the rim of the mason jar. I then used the dot image from the set and randomly stamped with all of the 2016-2018 in-colors to create the confetti look. Kinda cool! I also added in a few stamps of the heart image with sweet sugarplum ink. I added the “Happy Birthday” from Better Together, another great new set that’s so versatile! (#141733/141736)

I adhered the whispher white piece with Stampin Dimensionals to the front of the card base and added the 2016-2018 in color Enamel Shapes for added dimension. I then stamped the matching sentiment on the inside of the card and added some more confetti dots. I adhered to the inside with snail adhesive.

Isn’t this card cool? I love it and I hope you will give it a try. This card could be stepped up with some sequins or Wink of Stella also…

Going Global

Going Global

Today I created this easel card using the 2016 Occasion catalog stamp set called Going Global (140745/140748). I started with a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock cut at 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″. I then scored one side at 2 1/8″ to create the easel.
I cut a piece of the awesome Going Places DSP stack (140581) at 4″ by 5 1/4″and scored it at 2″ on the long edge. It then adhered it to the front o the Mossy Meadow base. I used the sixth from the middle framelits from the Circles collections framelits (130911) and centered on the 2″ score line before cutting with the Big Shot. (113439) Then I folded on the score line to create the easel. Piece of cake!

IMG_0511a

For the inside of the card, I cut a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock at 4″ by 5 1/4″. I directly inked the inside of the World Traveler Textured Impressions embossing folder with the Mossy Meadow ink pad and ran it through the Big Shot. The effect came out exactly as I had hoped. I think it looks pretty cool, don’t you?

IMG_0510a

I adhered the embossed piece to the inside of the card. I stamped two globe images on Very Vanilla cardstock. I first inked the stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and took a baby wipe to clear off some of the ink from the “land” sections on the image. Then I took the Mossy Meadow ink and dabbed it on the “land” sections on the image. That came out pretty cool too. I took a piece of Linen Thread and adhered the “globe” image on both sides with Tombow multi-purpose glue. I used mini glue dots and adhered each end of the linen thread on the score line on the inside cover. I then stamped the “worlds best Dad” sentiment with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and just hand trimmed into a rectangle. The “you mean the world to me sentiment” was popped up with Stampin Dimentionals so the folded top of the card can rest on it. I stamped in Memento ink and punched out using the short end of the Decorative Label punch (# 120907). I turned the piece around and punched the other edge close to the sentiment.

And voila! It’s almost done. You can’t see it in the pictures here, but I adhered a piece of very vanilla cardstock cut at 4′ by 5 1/4″ to the back of this  card. This will allow me to sign my name on the card and put a little message to my Dad…he will totally love this card!

Gift Set using April 16 Paper Pumpkin free stamp set!

Standard

Happy Sunday everyone!!  This morning I have a quick post on creating this great little set that can be given as a gift or sold at craft fairs, or kept for yourself! I made this set from the free stamp set all Paper Pumpkin subscribers received in the April 2016 kit. Stampin Up gave us this set of 18 stamps as a thank you for their one millionth set being shipped! How awesome! The set is called “All About Everything”.

All About Everything

All About Everything

I created these little beauties using Stampin Up’s set of 20 note cards and envelopes in Whisper White # 131527. I used the retiring 2014-2016 In Colors, Lost Lagoon, Tangelo Twist, Hello Honey, Mossy Meadow and Blackberry Bliss as my pallet of colors. I coordinated the In color that I used on the center of my flower with the bottom layer cardstock piece that is cut at 2 1/2″ by 4″. The top layer of whisper white thick cardstock # 140272 is cut at 2 1/4 by 3 3/4″. All you have to do is stamp the flower, stem, leaves and a sentiment of your choice and adhere with snail or Tombow multi-purpose glue. I adhered an Iced Rhinestone # 139637 (these are retiring May 31st- so get them now!) in the center of each flower, and Voila, you are done!  I stamped a coordinating flower on the front of each envelope by stamping off on the largest flower and not stamping off on the smaller flower. What a great little gift set!
